Soft Fold Fabrics:
There is a note on all designs that are shipped "soft-folded" rather than
on a tube. These particular styles require special care and handling due to
potential for leaving a permanent crease when double. In order to prevent
creases from setting in on the folded side of fabric, these are stored in their
full width of 118". Orders of 25 yards or less are folded by hand, wrapped
in paper, and shipped full width 118" via a Freight Carrier.
You may request fabric be rolled on 60" tubes, however you cannot return this
fabric if the crease on the folded end is not removed. Additional preparation
time is also needed.
These fabrics have the same unmatched guarantee as all our other designs.
The extra care given in storing and shipping these designs ensures that you receive
on the best quality.

Washing and Steaming Polyester Draperies:
DO:
Machine wash polyester fabric . . .
Use your automatic washer with cold water and regular laundry
detergent. When the spin cycle ends, lift the curtains, a panel at a time,
and reinstall them on their rods. While they are still wet, gently finger-press
any pleats. The yarns actually have "memory" so they will retain
the soft folds from your dressing after the curtains are dry.
Steam polyester fabric or curtains . . .
While the polyester fabric or curtains are hanging, you should
use a professional plastic-head fabric steamer, such as Jiffy, to remove any wrinkles
that may exit.
NEVER press polyester with an iron . . .
Even using a steam iron will cause permanent wrinkles in polyester
fabrics, even if the fabric resembles cotton.
CARING . . .
Caring properly for polyester draperies is so simple, it's actually
hard for many people to believe. Part of the difficulty comes from the fact
that fabrics made of this amazing fiber, polyester, can look and feel like other
fabrics, making their care very confusing. Machine laundering is the only
answer. You may be amazed to see how beautiful these draperies look after
they are laundered. They're actually fresher-looking and softer than before.
That's because this high quality polyester is engineered to be washed. Customers
who understand polyester, as the fiber of this century and the next, appreciate
its many unique benefits. It not only permits easier care, it demands it.
BAN those irons!
DON'T:
Machine-dry polyester fabrics . . .
When heat and heated metal touch polyester, wrinkles form that
are absolutely permanent.
Press polyester with an iron . . .
Even using a steam iron will cause permanent wrinkles for the
same reasons.
Treat polyester fabric like cotton . . .
Cottons have to be ironed with pressure and high heat.
So do Irish linens.
