The Grommet Tape with the Back Grommet Rings
incorporated in it, comes in Two Sizes
that fit most popular drapery poles:
- Large: 1-5/8" ID (Inside
Diameter opening) Grommets in 3-1/8" width Tape, or
-
Small: 3/4" ID Grommets in 2-3/8" width Tape.
The 100% Washable Poly Tape has the Back Grommet Rings built into it that are evenly spaced in the Tape at approximately 8 grommets per yard. Plastic spacers built into the back of the Grommet Tape System
allows the finished Grommet Drapery Panel to form beautiful
shape retaining folds on the front side.
Front Decorative Rings are sold separately (see pricing below). They snap into
the Grommets on the front side of the Tape. They come in 8 different finishes (see below). Their
smooth plastic material does not scratch the paint or finish of your drapery hardware.
They are Rust Proof because they are NOT metal, but a light-weight plastic that
moves easier, and thus are washable.

A. Ordering Grommet Tape
To finish your Grommet Tape System Project you need to order
both A. Tape and
B. Decorative Snap-On Rings. They are sold separately.
To order
Grommet Tape alone, click on any Decorative Ring Finish below that corresponds to
the size you need and enter the number of yards to add to cart.
How to Measure for Ordering: Just measure
your rod length in inches, multiply
it by 2, then divide by 36" to get the yardage you will need. If you like it extra
full, you can always increase to 2-1/2, or even 3 x's for lighter weight fabrics.
Grommet Tape
includes plastic spacers and back grommet rings.
5501 - 1-5/8" ID Grommet Tape - $6.95/yd
(full yard increments, 1 yd minimum). 3-1/8" wide tape with adjustable fold retainers.
Back Grommets in tape are 5-1/16" apart, center to center for the front fold and 4-3/8" apart
for back fold. Max rod diameter: 1" for moveable draperies, 1-3/8" for valances
or non-moving drapery. There are approximately 8 grommets/ yd.
5550 - 3/4" ID Grommet Tape
- $5.95/yd (full
yard increments, 1 yd minimum). 2-3/8" wide
tape with adjustable fold retainers. Back Grommets in tape are 5-3/8" apart, center to center for the front fold and 3-3/4" apart
