With this FAN PLEAT Drapery System, you can open up WIDE areas of
window viewing due to its slim, tiny-stacking accordian folds. For example, a 150"
(12 ½ foot) rod takes only 11" on each side for stacking, whereas Pinch or French
pleating would take 37" on each side.
Easily understood when compared closely: One FAN PLEAT folds into
2 thicknesses at the top as compared to EIGHT thicknesses with pinch pleating.
Each FAN PLEAT is a straight line from ceiling to floor. With the
FAN PLEAT system, the rod required to clear your window is much smaller.
Since material, labor and rod costs are based on rod widths, you SAVE as much as
30%.

CEILING HUNG DRAPERIES . . .
FAN PLEAT installations can be ceiling or wall attached.
The ceiling rod is a handsome, "miniaturized" aluminum extrusion with a front profile
of only 1/4", silicone treated for smooth frictionless glide of drapery.
Batons are used instead of pull cords. These are attractive white plastic
wands that hang from the rod, behind the leading pleat. The drapery glides on nylon
tabs which are riveted to the inside buckram.

shown above stacks in a space of 28 inches, extends to cover 16 feet of rod.

WALL HUNG DRAPERY . . .
FAN PLEAT installations may be attached with wall brackets where ceiling
attachments are not feasible. This wall rod is a handsome aluminum or white extrusion
of only 7/8" with the drapery hanging below the rod, lovely as is, or paintable
to match your walls. (Rustoleum appliance epoxy has been said to work well.) Or
if you have wall paint left over, you can match it exactly.

"Well, I am back from our Texas house and wanted to send you an update. We
followed the instructions you sent and constructed our draperies here in Honolulu.
We folded the finished product as carefully as we could and stuffed it into a suitcase.
I am sure you can imagine that with the large size of our draperies, it completely
filled the suitcase!
The track had arrived safely to our Texas home. We followed the instructions again
and mounted the track to our board that the valance was attached to - filling in
the necessary spots with washers. Then, we mounted the whole contraption to the
wall. We were nervous. We kept saying, "How can we make these things 4,000 miles
away and have them fit? We must be dreaming!"
Voila! Perfect fit! We used our steamer to steam out the millions of wrinkles from
the suitcase stuffing. We did "Dress" for 5 days. We are very happy with our draperies
and wanted you to know how much we appreciate your help! Our builder/decorator for
our house came for lunch and kept asking about those draperies. Maybe they will
ask me where I got them so they can use them in their future home building projects.

The FAN PLEAT can also be converted to use on a Decorator Rod where
the drapery will hang below the rings. Stacking is limited by the width of the rings,
usually 1/2" and pin hooks are inserted.

FAN PLEAT BUCKRAM . . .
- Fan buckram DEPTH is from wall into room. 4" buckram is used generally in restricted
areas, like cornices or inside windows. 5" is for standard applications. Either
way, remember the 5" or 4" option is DEPTH, not height of the buckram.
